Tara & Joy Love to Ramble

Close the door. Write with no one looking over your shoulder. Don't try to figure out what other people want to hear from you; figure out what you have to say. It's the one and only thing you have to offer. Barbara Kingsolver

Bad Weekends and Break-ups

This past weekend was supposed to be so fabulous. It was my brother's 21st birthday party. We went to my aunt's house on the lake to celebrate. I skipped the opening game of football season- which is a HUGE deal at UGA. So anyways, the weekend with my family turned out to be horrible. I made really poor choices. My brothers were complete jerks; Joy agrees.
Then monday rolls around and after crying myself to sleep sunday night, I have the pleasure of going to work. And what do I find?
Everyone has had a horrible weekend. Josh's girlfriend broke up with him. Matt's car broke. And Josie's boyfriend of 7 years broke up with her. All-in-all most people who really expected to have really great weekends, ending up having extremely bad ones.
But then I got to thinking about my weekend. Why so bad? What is it about my family that really disappointed me? How did i disappoint them? What was missing?
Then I realized I should probably stop thinking about myself.
